Residential Care Facilities
Depending on the type of care offered by a Residential Care Facility (RCF), it may be very similar to an Assisted Living Facility or an Alzheimer's/ Dementia licensed community.
Some RCF's, however, may look similar to an Adult Care Home. These facilities can care for six or more residents. Usually, a RCF in a residential setting has anywhere from 16-30 residents. The level of care in this setting is similar to that of an Adult Care Home, with the biggest difference being twenty-four hour awake care. An Adult Care Home offers twenty-four hour care, but at night the providers are sleeping. A RCF offers awake staff at all hours.
The cost for RCF's varies, depending on the services offered. Use the most similar level of care to compare costs (Assisted Living, Adult Care Homes, Alzheimer's/ Dementia Care).
